Taco`s Jalisco in Reno

Excellent food and drinks! I got the enchiladas and they were fantastic. It was my first time there, so I didn't have any expectations, I just knew that whenever we drive by it is always busy. If you want a place where the service is 5-star, then this may not be the place for you. I do not mind waiting a bit for food and drinks and I prefer the waiters to not hover over me, so I was totally fine with this. The wait for food is well worth it, I cannot say anything bad about the food, it was amazing. I will definitely go back!

My family and I have been coming here since it first opened. Let me say those were good times, with good wait staff. However, after waiting more than an a half hour for our food, with a one year old, we asked if even our appetizer was ready. We were told, lemme see. Five minutes late we got our four bacon wrapped jalapeno poppers. Another half hour, we ask about the rest and asked to speak to a manager. The waitress lied to is and said, they don't have one that night... on a Saturday night... my mother in law goes an talks to anther waitress who says they do have a manager and we tell them, we are done waiting. We want our food to go, and we aren't coming back. They give us cold food. Cheese had solidified on nachos to the point you pick up one, the who thing lifts up in one chunk. Rice is hard. Shrimp is cold. Will not go back.

If you are looking for a TRULY authentic Mexican culinary experience, Tacos Jalisco is the place to dine! Here on the west coast we are blessed to enjoy a myriad of excellent Mexican restaurants! Tonight was my first visit to Tacos Jalisco. It is not in downtown Reno. It is absolutely worth the drive to the north valley's/off the beat & path. Local family owned restaurant. We arrived on a Sunday at 4:15 & the parking lot was packed (good sign). Our server, Sandy, was soooooo attentive & professional! The food is off the chain ridiculously delicious as are the adult beverages! This is absolutely our new "Go-to" for Mexican cuisine. Plus they had a GREAT 3-man band!

I wanted start by saying I really enjoyed this restaurant. Let's start with the service wow this was probably the best service I have ever had at any restaurant ever. Thank you so very much. Second is you feel like you are on vacation as soon as you sit down. Last the food this place has the best most amazing food I have ever tasted. The menu is influenced by mostly sea food. The food tasted like I was sitting in a cantina on the sea of Cortez and I could almost taste the salt in the air and hear the sound of the ocean. This restaurant took me back to old Mexico for that I am grateful. I wish I could eat here every night. I will definitely be coming back. Not often a place has this much effect on me 🤠 thanks again.

The food was ok. The booth seats are gross & can not be sanitary. Each one has a sizable tear. It would take someone to go to a fabric store & staple on a new piece of material to improve on the appearance & comfort. Definitely doesn't look like the owner/management cares. At least use some duct tape that is close to the same color and fix it!🤦

Came in here a couple nights ago. I was attended by the lady at the bar. Didn’t get her name but she was Hispanic, with brown long hair. She was super stand-offish as soon as I sat down. I didn’t get any alcohol and she seemed kinda bothered by that. She didn’t check in on me not once. I had to ask for chips and salsa. Wish I got her name but she was rude. Never coming back. The food was just alright. Service was bad. Next time will stick to Murrietas!

Authentic Mexican Food, It Took Me Back To Being A Little Kid, Going over to my dad's mom's house for a celebration of some type and my grandma would be in the kitchen wich she probably as been there since before the cracks of dawn just to make everything by scratch.

Food is outstanding. Service is the opposite. Service was horrible before COVID 19, worse now. Had dinner tonight, only 9 people total in the restraunt, 6 of which were leaving when we arrived (2 of us) waited an hour for our drinks. 2 hours total for 2 margaritas and tacos.

Loved the selection on the menu, definitely not just another Mexican restaurant. Yoi can get the basics, like tacos, burritos, etc. However, we ordered something very different and was not common in any Mexican restaurant. The portion was more than enough, had to get a to go box. Awesome place to have a group get together!

I eat here 2 to 3 times a week. The staff is amazing and the food is even better. And look how fun it looks it’s actually this fun.

They had no chilli rellenos, the carne asada tacos were so-so. Bit into something hard in my beans.

Make sure you call ahead to place your orders, could take longer than an hr to have your food ready. I would call ahead to dine in XD

Been here numerous times -- always great tasting food ! Friendly service and prices are comparable to other Mexican restaurants. They have the best chile relleno I've ever tasted - that's pictured also a child's taco plate and a wet burrito that's huge and delicious.

Best Mexican food in Stead and Lemmon Valley. They've got really good Carnitas tacos

I'm ordering to go because of the pandemic and they been great on time. Sometimes they forget to add the tortillas other than that food is great Just make sure before you leave the restaurant check for everything is there

I don't understand why this place doesn't have 5 stars. Abuelas rose garden overgrowing the sign. ✔️Old style ranch house with huge oak door. ✔️Warm interior with wood chairs and tables. ✔️Delicious food, with traditional options. ✔️Prompt service and no BS server. ✔️Literally the best food I've had while visiting Reno. The aesthetic of this place is exactly what I expect from a Mexican Restaurant. Just missing some Frida Kahlo paintings.

Always great food. Some dishes are a bit spicy so ask about that. Service can be sketchy at times but always friendly. One of my favorite Mexican restaurants.

I find myself always enjoying the fresh made food they make. It a little bit of time however taste is worth the wait.

From beginning to end, everything was as delicious as the pictures look. The service was excellent & the band rocked. Definitely worth the drive.

We went here on recommendations from two of our friends. all the worker's were all practicing safe CIVID restrictions. The service started out pretty good : It's Father's day and we were prepared for a bit of a wait. We were seated in half the time we were told. Took our drink and food order right away and brought out the chips and salsa I asked for. Then we waited, and it was 20min before anyone checked on our table, and I had to flag the waitress for drink refills. We could deal with being in the only section without running fans and being a little warm. But then it took another 25 mins before we asked in the status of our food. Ten minutes later they brought out our food. My chille reyeno was tasty, my daughter's fajitas were sizzling, my son's appetizer seemed fresher than their dads enchilada and taco plate. he had piping hot refried beans and rice but the enchiladas were more soggy than probably should have been. To be honest the food was good but the service very lacking.

Best service and food I've had in a long time. I wish they delivered through a delivery service but they went above and beyond while I was there. I would recommend this place to anyone. Margaritas are amazing by the way! Deffinatly will visit again as it is more than worth it.

this place is the best. if you want real authentic Mexican food, you have to try this place. plus the service is great. the price is just right for what you get. Not over priced and you get what you pay for. and the cherry on top is that there is live music weekend nights. or at least that's when I've been here. I come from the bay area and always have to come back here everytime I'm in Reno. you have to try this place. you won't be disappointed.
